All Skills (2-Days)
5th and 6th Grade (coed) June 24/25 or June 26/27 (4:30-6pm)
Enjoy high quality instruction covering all the skills required in volleyball. Receive valuable feedback and maximize repetitions of each skill. Experience live play scenarios and scrimmage opportunities. Players will be grouped by age/experience so they can train in a challenging environment with appropriate intensity and competition. This camp includes skills and drills, lots of reps, demonstrations, individual and team drills, and more!
7th and 8th Grade (coed) June 24/25 or June 26/27 (6-7:30pm)
During these sessions, players will improve their technique and understanding across all skills and begin to specialize in their preferred position(s). Multi-skill drills allow for more 'live-play' scenarios. Back-row defense focuses on all aspects of receiving serve, including platform control, reading the server, correct footwork/movement, seams, etc., while servers hone their type of serve, placement, and consistency. Similarly, offensive players learn how to maximize their attacking tools: line, cross-court, tips, etc) and learn how and when to use them. Back-row players will have the opportunity to learn the technical aspects of being a defender, digging a variety of attacks, reading hitters and defensive situations. Together, single-skill and multi-skill drills provide players a well-rounded experience while allowing them time to explore those positions that pique their interest.
9th-12th Grade (girls) June 24/25 or June 26/27 (7:30-9pm)
This session will be split into 2 groups depending on previous experience, current skill level and future goals. More experienced players (those looking to play in college/make Varsity in the fall/make their club team) will be challenged with more advanced instruction and higher level play on Court 1 while providing newer/younger players with the proper level of instruction and competition to fuel their progress on Court 2. Players will have the opportunity to advance in all the skills but will be encouraged to participate in the portion of the drills in which they prefer to specialize (example: middles will bot be expected to rotate through to the back row defensive portion of the drill and vise versa). Players will fine-tune their techniques through valuable feedback by exceptional coaches.
