Select League 2025

Try-outs for the 2025 Girls SELECT teams will be held October 19th, 2024  at Lakeside Middle School.  This is a competitive non-travel league for girls in Albemarle and surrounding counties that offers 2 days of practice/week (total of 3-4 hours) for a 12-week season, with 5 local/semi-local tournaments.  Players receive a practice shirt, a game jersey, volleyball (new!) and a backpack.  Each team has a paid head coach and assistant coach.  Teams from outside Albemarle County and ACVC are invited to participate in tournaments (contact us for more info)

Official Try-Out Registration

Participants MUST register for Try-outs (closes October 12th).  We have limited registrations so don't delay.  Note: the mandatory Parent Meeting will be held at the same time as try-outs.

Try-Outs: October 19th, 2024 (time TBA ) at Lakeside Middle School​

• $50 non-refundable try-out fee (players are neither guaranteed a spot on a team nor their requested practice day/time).

• Players will receive team placement and practice day info via email by October 23rd.

• Payment is due within 24 hours of offer/placement email to secure your spot.

Season: January 8-March 29, 2025

Practice days/times: Practice days are TBD as coach's schedules become available.  Practices are a two-day combo (Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Potential Practice Locations: Hollymead Elem, Brownsville Elem,  or Greer Elem

Tournament/Match Info: 5 Saturdays at Albemarle County schools (official dates TBA)  The number of matches per tournament is not guaranteed.  This depends on the number of teams formed at your particular age bracket and level.  The number of matches played per tournament may vary from tournament to tournament and team to team.

Cost: $599

Team Info: Post-tryouts, players will receive an email with either 1) a team offer or 2) coaches suggestions for improvement

Player Age Description/eligibility:

For use during the 2024-2025 season.  To determine the correct age division, please find the Birth Month in the left column and then the Birth Year in the same row.  The heading of the column matching the Birth Year is the correct age division.  Teams will likely be a group of ages (13 and 14 year olds in the "14s" Division, 15 and 16 year olds in the "16s" Division, etc).
